Add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions with automatic simplification
Finding a common denominator: 3/12 + 4/12 = 7/12 ≈ 0.583333.
Multiply numerators and denominators: (3×2)/(8×5) = 6/40 = 3/20 = 0.15.
Common denominator of 12: 7/12 − 3/12 = 4/12 = 1/3 ≈ 0.333333.
Find the least common denominator (LCD), convert each fraction, then add the numerators. For example, 1/3 + 1/4: LCD is 12, so 4/12 + 3/12 = 7/12.
Divide both the numerator and denominator by their greatest common divisor (GCD). For example, 6/8: GCD is 2, so 6/8 = 3/4.
Multiply the first fraction by the reciprocal of the second. For example, (2/3) ÷ (4/5) = (2/3) × (5/4) = 10/12 = 5/6.
